i was just thinking the other day about how much i miss the days of personal blogging. it seems like personal blogging is an actual thing here, and there's not as much pressure to Make Relatable Content.

i have read multiple tutorials now and feel like i get what's happening and how it all works, but idk if my people are here.

rip tumblr. you'll only kind of be missed.

It does remind me a lot of livejournal. I went ahead and got myself a paid account for 6 months and raided my livejournal icons.

Well I'm here, at least! :D I discovered that if you go into people's profiles, you can see who they're subscribed to/who subscribes to them, and that's how I've been finding my peeps so far.

I hated so many things about tumblr, but it's where the fandom was. Part of me is glad that it's dying. Despite having a lot of followers in the end (over 800!!), it was actually really hard to interact with anyone. It's a terrible platform for having a conversation.

my first blog i had a very difficult time interacting, and the second one, the one i have now, i've been able to make a ton of friends. i have 6k followers and i have a feeling i'll never find that kind of following anywhere else. so it's really a shame. i liked it there a lot.
